Timeline
The chronological layer of this Knowledge Center, and the criteria an entry has to meet before it is placed here.
Purpose of the timeline
The timeline is designed to organize verified profile milestones and dated reference material when appropriate information becomes available.
Its value depends entirely on the dating being accurate, so no milestone is manufactured to populate the page. Where nothing dated has been verified, the chronological structure is retained and the criteria are stated instead — which keeps later additions consistent with each other.
How a timeline entry is verified
A date stated in the material itself
The date has to come from the material being recorded, not from an estimate derived from surrounding context. Where only a month or year is stated, that is the precision recorded.
A discrete, describable event
Timelines hold events, not impressions. A change that can be stated in one sentence and dated belongs here; a general characterization does not.
An identifiable origin
Each entry names where it comes from, so a reader can check it without relying on this page as an intermediary.
Context alongside the date
An entry records what happened and what it is relevant to, so that the sequence remains readable years later and does not invite inference.
